Job description

We are looking for a Speech and Language Pathologist 
PRN
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is a 27-bed hospital devoted to helping patients return to an optimal level of independence after a life-altering event or diagnosis.  Our knowledgeable doctors and staff work hard around the clock to ensure all our patients receive the high-quality care they need and deserve. Our specialty physicians are experts in stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, neurological disease, amputee, and orthopedic rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a prn speech language pathologist who will be responsible for a range of services providing care to patients with neurological, speech-language, cognitive, swallowing, pragmatic, voice, and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a licensed speech language pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach. Our interdisciplinary team utilizes processes to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of our patients.  In addition to bringing your talents and purpose to the workplace, qualified applicants will need the following:
Qualifications

  • One year of work experience providing direct patient care in an inpatient or outpatient setting
  • Master’s degree in speech-language pathology with a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist License with the State of Louisiana
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
