Job Description

A Day in the Life 

  • Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the Chief Legal Officer and Assistant General Counsel, ensuring projects, assignments, and legal matters are completed accurately, confidentially, and on time.
  • Draft, review, coordinate, and manage a high volume of contracts, legal documents, correspondence, and corporate records while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Administer and maintain legal department systems and processes, including contract management software, DocuSign, document retention, records management, and tracking of key deadlines and approvals.
  • Coordinate board, governance, and committee activities by managing meeting logistics, preparing agendas and materials, recording minutes, maintaining governance records, and supporting board nomination and survey processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for subpoenas, guardianships, and other legal inquiries, facilitating communication among healthcare staff, courts, outside counsel, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Manage departmental operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments, correspondence management, attorney scheduling, and support for healthcare advocacy, compliance, and governance initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a legal support role, with demonstrated expertise in corporate, real estate, and/or litigation matters.
  • Legal Assistant or Paralegal degree and/or certificate preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (required), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Lexis, and internet-based legal research tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong customer service, and professional correspondence.
Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
