Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.       Follow work introductions, review safety data sheets, and follow standard handling protocols on a wide variety of R&D projects. 
2.       Fixture parts and/or standard research specimens, working with hand tools as required.
3.       Perform testing and record results using logs and records of work performed and materials and equipment used, as required by the project engineer, Chief Technologist, Chief Scientist, or direct supervisor.  
4.       Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness through regular inspection and cleaning of your department.  
5.       Cross-train in other areas/departments as needed.
6.       Complete additional assignments and projects as prescribed by your supervisor.
7.       Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

Job Requirements:
1.      Must be a U.S. Citizen/Green Card holder. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.
2.      Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. An associate's degree in chemistry is highly desirable. 
3.      Must have excellent attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and ability to communicate efficiently and accurately.
4.      Must have excellent organizational skills. 
5.      Competency in using basic hand tools.
6.      Must be able to pick-up and carry 50 lbs. daily.
7.      Must be able to walk and stand up to 50-75% of the workday.
8.      Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
9.      Previous experience with glovebox/chemical handling is a plus.
10.    Previous experience using manual lathes/mills is a plus.
11.    Forklift experience is a plus.
12.    Overhead crane experience is a plus.
13.    All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from a background check and drug test.
