What is a reproduction assistant?

Reproduction Assistants are professionals who help with the duplication, copying, or production of documents, images, or digital files in settings such as libraries, archives, print shops, or laboratories. Their responsibilities often include operating reproduction equipment, maintaining records, ensuring quality control, and handling both digital and physical materials. They may also assist with scanning, microfilming, or preparing materials for digital archiving. This role is vital for preserving important documents and making information accessible to others.

What are the daily responsibilities of a reproduction assistant?

A Reproduction Assistant in a laboratory typically supports the reproductive processes of animals or plants, such as preparing samples, maintaining records, and assisting with procedures like artificial insemination or embryo transfer. What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a reproduction assistant?

To thrive as a Reproduction Assistant, you typically need knowledge of reproductive biology, attention to detail, and a background in animal science or a related field.
