Intern Program Overview:
We are committed to building a strong talent pipeline by investing in early career professionals. Our internship and co-op programs provide mentorship, training, hands-on experience, and growth opportunities that empower students to explore their career paths with confidence. Summer interns work full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August. Candidates must be currently enrolled college students actively pursuing a degree to participate in the internship program.
Job Purpose
The Accounting Intern will spend the summer split between the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance team and the External Reporting team within Corporate Accounting. This is a hands-on role where the intern will assist with internal control documentation and testing and will support the preparation and tie-out of the Company's quarterly SEC filings. The internship is designed to give an accounting student direct exposure to the internal control environment and the public company reporting process with mentorship from experienced CPAs and visibility to Corporate Controllership leadership.
Key Responsibilities
SOX Compliance Support:
  • Participate in process walkthroughs with control owners across finance and operations, taking detailed notes and documenting the flow of transactions from initiation through reporting.
  • Assist in updating process narratives, flowcharts and risk and control matrices to reflect current-state processes and control changes.
  • Support testing of internal controls over financial reporting by gathering evidence, preparing testing workpapers, and documenting attributes tested and results.
  • Assist with coordination between the SOX team, internal audit, and the external auditors on testing requests and status reporting.

External Reporting Support:
  • Support preparation of the quarterly Form 10-Q including assembling supporting schedules for the financial statements and footnotes.
  • Perform tie-out of the filing document.
  • Support the earnings release process, including tie-out of the press release and supporting documents.
  • Perform peer and industry benchmarking of disclosures, summarizing how comparable companies present selected topics.

Experience Required
  • Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree in Accounting

The annual salary for this role is USD $20.34 - $25.75 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
