Director, Strategic Marketing - Chromatography
Repligen is seeking a Director of Strategic Marketing to lead global marketing strategy for the Chromatography business unit, including resins and pre-packed columns. This role is responsible for translating business strategy into high-impact, demand-generating marketing programs that drive customer preference, accelerate adoption, and deliver measurable revenue growth.
As a strategic leader and player-coach, this individual will operate at the intersection of commercial, product, and technical teams-owning market positioning, integrated campaign execution, and lifecycle marketing. A critical component of this role is the adoption and advocacy of AI-driven marketing capabilities to enhance speed, scale, personalization, and overall marketing effectiveness.

Strategic Leadership & Commercial Impact

• Own the development and execution of global marketing strategies and annual plans for the Chromatography portfolio.
• Translate business objectives into multi-channel demand generation programs that drive pipeline growth, customer acquisition, and revenue.
• Define and evolve market positioning, segmentation, and value propositions to strengthen Repligen's leadership in biologics production.

AI-Driven Marketing Transformation

• Champion the integration of AI across marketing workflows-including content generation, campaign optimization, customer segmentation, and performance analytics.
• Leverage AI tools to significantly increase content velocity, personalization, and campaign efficiency while maintaining scientific accuracy.
• Act as a change agent to drive adoption of AI within the marketing organization, establishing best practices and scalable processes.

Market Intelligence & Insights

• Lead deep analysis of market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and total addressable market.
• Translate insights into actionable strategies that inform product positioning, campaign development, and commercial priorities.

Integrated Campaigns & Content Strategy

• Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, technical, and field channels.
• Oversee creation of high-quality, scientifically sound content (technical collateral, digital assets, video, web, email) aligned to each stage of the customer journey.
• Ensure messaging clarity, consistency, and differentiation across all touchpoints.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner closely with Product Management, Commercial, Applications, and Marketing teams to align on strategy, execution, and performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to generate technical data and translate it into compelling customer-facing content.
• Lead and develop a small team (1 direct report), while influencing across a global, matrixed organization.

Performance Management & Optimization

• Own marketing KPIs and budget, ensuring strong ROI and alignment with business objectives.
• Utilize advanced analytics and AI-driven insights to continuously optimize campaign performance and content effectiveness.
• Report on marketing impact, pipeline contribution, and revenue outcomes to senior leadership.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred.
• 10+ years of marketing experience in life sciences, bioprocessing, or related industries.
• Experience in chromatography or downstream bioprocessing strongly preferred.

Core Capabilities

• Proven track record in global product commercialization and integrated marketing strategy development.
• Deep expertise in segmentation, positioning, value proposition development, and go-to-market strategy in technical markets.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and digital tools to improve marketing productivity and performance.
• Strong leadership and talent development experience, with the ability to influence without authority.

Success Profile

This role is ideal for a marketing leader who combines strategic vision, technical fluency, and digital innovation with a passion for leveraging AI to transform marketing effectiveness. Focused on cost and process efficiencies, we deliver innovative technologies and solutions that help set new standards in bioprocessing. The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $168,750-$258,750. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts.
