Job description

DESRIPTION
  • The Replacement Parts Specialist position is responsible for preparing and delivering replacement part quotes for customers. This individual also receives and processes replacement parts orders from customers.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Steward our mission (to enrich lives by providing differentiated packaging automation and services) and values (unwavering integrity, servant's heart, ownership spirit, and continuous innovation & improvement).
    • Build up pricing for replacement part inquiries and prepare quotes for customers.
    • Work with Production Control to determine setup and run times for fabricated parts to calculate fabricated part pricing.
    • Work with Purchasing to determine current pricing and delivery on parts with no recent usage, as well as pricing and lead time for outsourced fabricated part operations.
    • Receive, process, and follow through on replacement part orders from customers.
    • Ensure bill-to and ship-to information match customer purchase orders.
    • Work with Accounting to set up new customer accounts, add/change ship-to and bill-to information, move machine locations, and correct any discrepancies between COM orders, purchase orders, and invoices.
    • Collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing to find suitable alternatives to parts that are obsolete or have undesirable lead times.
    • Submit engineering change requests (ECRs) as needed.
    • Handle and expedite emergency orders as required.
    • Work with Production Control to determine expedited lead times for fabricated parts.
    • Work with Purchasing to determine expedited lead times for purchased parts.
    • Complete action items from Service Technical Advisors and follow up on those action items.
    • Create COM orders to facilitate the resolution of those action items and allow tracking of part and labor costs.
    • Collaborate with the Replacement Parts Specialist 2 to coordinate the return of parts using the RGA (Return Goods Authorization) system.
    • Collaborate with the Replacement Parts Specialist 2 to coordinate the completion of customs compliance documents for international orders.
    • Complete quotation follow-ups with customers for each unsold quote on a weekly basis and record follow-up responses in the appropriate database.
    • Demonstrate a tenacious and disciplined customer satisfaction imperative using the "6+1 ways" model (quality, professional courtesy, can-do attitude, responsiveness, convenience, aggressive follow-up, plus something extra to exceed expectations).
    • Follow department policies and procedures and proactively work on the continued improvement of department policies and procedures.
    • Work and communicate professionally with other employees in a service environment.
    • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Two years of related experience
