Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on wheel ends, brake systems, and air suspension systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and diagnostic issues
  • Service cooling systems and air conditioning systems
  • Perform oil changes, preventative maintenance, and routine inspections
  • Repair and replace tires as needed
  • Conduct DOT inspections and identify needed repairs to ensure compliance
  • Complete work orders and service documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and service standards
  • Communicate repair needs and job status with management and team members

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in heavy duty truck and trailer repair preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial truck and trailer systems
  • Experience with brakes, wheel ends, suspension, electrical, and diagnostics
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • CDL is a plus, if applicable

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy parts and tools with or without assistance
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and around heavy equipment
  • Ability to safely use tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, and shop machinery
