Job Description-Journeyman Service Electrician

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Service Electrician to join our team. As a Journeyman Service Electrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality electrical services and repairs to commercial and residential clients. You will work closely with our team to ensure the successful completion of projects and the satisfaction of our customers.

Responsibilities: 
  • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA code.
  • Operate and maintain basic construction equipment, including scissor lifts, man lifts, generators, and power tools.
  • Price materials, complete estimates, and generate invoices for services provided. 
  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate and efficient electrical installations. 
  • Respond to on-call and service work requests promptly and effectively.
  • Utilize CRM software (such as Jobber) to manage customer relations and track service orders. 
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair various types of commercial and residential electrical systems, including lighting, controls, VFDs, and PLCs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful completion of projects and provide training to apprentices when required.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. 
Requirements:
  • Journeyman Electrician certificate preferred, but not required.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NEC and NFPA code.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating basic construction equipment and power tools.
  • Ability to price materials, complete estimates, and generate invoices. 
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and customer relations management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and assist with training apprentices.
  • Experience with commercial and residential service controls, including lighting, controls, VFDs, and PLCs is a plus.
  • Must have 4+ years’ experience, Journeyman Certificate preferred but not required.
