Job description

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Packer to work from our manufacturing facility located in Wilkes-Barre, PA on Second Shift.

As a Packer, this candidate will be responsible for packing chips in boxes and bags. Inspect quality of chips. This position works Monday - Friday from 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Packs bags of chips into cartons.o Assembles cartons, applies stickers and packs cases according to case specifications while verifying the package quality of finished product.
  • Inspects quality of chips and chip packages.
    o Examines seasoning on chips after chips are packaged.
    o Matches product codes of chips being packaged.
    o Verifies weight of packaged chips.
  • Repack product merchandise into cartons on sack/tray lines.
  • Loads boxes of packaged chips onto skids.
  • Performs other tasks which will assist the packaging flow operation such as but not limited to:
    o Stickers product items,
    o Prepares boxes to be packed (caddies)
    o Hand pick chips; and
    o Gives lunch and work breaks.
  • Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
