Job description

Survey Project Manager | Renewables, Power & Energy

Help Shape the Infrastructure Powering Tomorrow

Some survey projects are routine.

These aren't.

We're looking for a Survey Project Manager who thrives on tackling complex challenges, leading high-profile projects, and working at the intersection of power & energy, renewable infrastructure, and land development.

In this role, you'll help deliver projects that directly support utility modernization, renewable energy expansion, and community growth. From utility corridors and electrical infrastructure to large-scale solar developments and commercial sites, you'll play a key role in bringing critical projects from concept to construction.

Whether your background is rooted in power & energy, utilities, or land development, we're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and helping teams succeed.

If you're the type of professional who is always looking for the next challenge, enjoys mentoring others, and takes pride in delivering exceptional work, we'd love to connect.

What You'll Do

As a Survey Project Manager, you'll serve as a trusted leader for both clients and project teams, helping guide projects from initial planning through final delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple survey projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Leading survey efforts for utility, renewable energy, commercial, and land development projects
  • Collaborating with engineers, project managers, field crews, contractors, and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
  • Reviewing survey deliverables, project scope, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Managing project financials, including budgets, forecasting, and overall project performance
  • Serving as a key point of contact for clients and helping foster long-term partnerships
  • Providing mentorship and technical guidance to survey staff and emerging professionals
  • Supporting a collaborative, team-first culture where knowledge sharing and professional growth are encouraged
  • Identifying challenges early, developing solutions, and keeping projects moving forward

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in capability, leadership potential, and mindset than checking every box.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Experience managing survey projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, project execution, and client management
  • Experience with utility, power & energy, renewable energy, land development, or infrastructure projects
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar survey technologies
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and a desire to continuously learn and grow

 Bonus Points For

  • Experience supporting utility, energy, or infrastructure-related projects
  • Experience with solar, renewable energy, transmission, substation, or utility corridor projects
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RLS) licensure

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit projects and maintain the status quo.

You'll have the opportunity to build relationships, influence project strategy, mentor talented team members, and contribute to some of the most exciting infrastructure and renewable energy projects in the region.

We're looking for someone who wants to do meaningful work, take on bigger challenges, and grow alongside an organization that's continuing to expand its presence in the power, energy, and renewable markets.

You'll Excel Here If You:

  • Take ownership and follow through
  • Enjoy solving problems that don't have obvious answers
  • Like balancing technical work with client interaction
  • Get energy from mentoring and supporting others
  • Are motivated by growth, responsibility, and continuous improvement
  • See change and complexity as opportunities, not obstacles

If you're ready to lead impactful projects, expand your expertise, and help shape the future of energy and infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you.

Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000
