We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer- DevOps to join our Technical Operations team who can help drive the evolution of our cloud operations within AWS. This role focuses on building and improving our cloud-native infrastructure, with an emphasis on Kubernetes (EKS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development teams to enable efficient, reliable, and secure software delivery through modern engineering practices.


Salary Range Starts at $100,000


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS, with a focus on Kubernetes (EKS) environments
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to standardize and scale deployments
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and overall developer experience
  • Contribute to system reliability through automation, monitoring, and performance tuning
  • Participate in defining and promoting best practices for cloud architecture, security, and application delivery
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues across cloud-based environments
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems


Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in System Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field
  • Experience working within AWS environments
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab preferred)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Scripting experience (Bash, Python)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Exposure to hybrid or transitioning environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and technical journals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and co-workers.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to work well with other members of the department.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
