The work setting for this role is entirely remote, allowing counselors to manage their schedules while ensuring client needs are met promptly. As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Provide individual counseling sessions to clients via secure video chat, focusing on strategies to improve their mental health and emotional well-being.
• Encourage clients to explore and articulate their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, guiding them towards greater self-awareness and insight.
• Serve as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining personal goals and outlining action plans to reach those objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental health statuses and devise personalized treatment plans that employ evidence-based, solution-focused approaches.

You will work exclusively with a carefully screened clientele of stable adults presenting with low acuity mental health challenges. This targeted approach ensures that counselors engage with clients who are ready and able to participate actively in their treatment. Our matching system pairs you with clients whose needs align with your expertise and demographic preferences, enhancing the therapeutic alliance and overall outcomes.

The ideal candidate for the position will meet the following qualifications:

• Possession of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice independently in New York state, such as:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• No limited or provisional licenses will be considered. Additionally, candidates must have no disciplinary actions against their licensing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside effective interpersonal abilities, are essential to foster meaningful client relationships.
• Proficiency in using telehealth technologies and comfortable navigating digital platforms.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience working in remote settings and those proficient in utilizing teletherapy tools may have an advantage. Experience in solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral approaches, or other evidence-based practices will be an asset in this role.

Empowerment Psychology Care Clinic offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and hours worked. Additional benefits include:
