FULLY REMOTE HR Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator or HR Assistant for a project-based role to support an employee on maternity leave. This is a 2-3 month contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Support People Service Coordinators with HR processes including recruiting, data entry, and onboarding.
  • Maintain the HR knowledge database and collaborate with HRIS to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, learning, and performance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations, and help standardize and improve processes.
  • Actively participate in internal meetings and training sessions.

Essential Skills

  • Human resources experience (1-2 years)
  • Workday experience is a must-have
  • Administrative experience (1-2 years)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to use Teams, Excel, and Workday effectively

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Union experience
  • Accounting, analytical, and audit skills
  • Experience with governance and HR benefits
  • Internships and degrees can be considered as experience
  • Possession of a personal laptop for work

Work Environment

This is a fully remote opportunity, preferably for candidates in the Central or Eastern time zone.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
