Job description

Youโ€™ll become the go-to expert on renewable energy tax credits, shaping strategy that directly boosts cash flow and drives compliance across major solar and energy projects.

Youโ€™ll gain long-term job security in a rapidly expanding sector, with the chance to increase your scope and influence as the business grows. Youโ€™ll also enjoy a remote working arrangement, with approximately 30% travel to connect with teams and projects on the ground.

As you develop your expertise with us in the role, youโ€™ll be recognized and rewarded with progression, professional development and full health benefits to give you peace of mind.

What youโ€™ll do

Youโ€™ll lead the qualification, compliance and reporting for key renewable energy tax credits like ITC, PTC and 45X manufacturing credits. This is where your technical knowledge will shine, as you build audit-ready documentation and track project eligibility in detail.

Working closely with legal, finance and treasury teams, youโ€™ll help monetize these credits through strategies like transferability and direct pay. Youโ€™ll also advise project teams on the tax implications of procurement, phasing and safe harboring, ensuring maximum value across the portfolio.

Staying ahead of IRS, Treasury and state-level guidance, youโ€™ll interpret new regulations and communicate their impact to senior leadership and project teams. Youโ€™ll also train internal teams in engineering, procurement and operations to keep everyone aligned.

Additionally, youโ€™ll support tax filings, credit calculations, depreciation schedules and manage audits or inquiries, maintaining accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

What youโ€™ll need

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA required. Masterโ€™s preferred.

7+ years of tax experience focused on renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance, or energy tax credits.

Deep expertise in ITC, PTC, 45X, and other renewable energy incentive programs.

Experience in solar, energy development, manufacturing of solar components, or utility-scale energy environments.

Strong technical knowledge of IRS guidance, renewable energy tax policy, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills for credit valuation and financial modelling will also set you apart.
