• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans that align with best practices.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to address patient concerns.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, fostering a sense of community and shared experience among clients dealing with similar mental health issues.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care, participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services for patients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and effective support.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, discuss treatment options, and connect them with local resources and community support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards and telehealth regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending training sessions and professional conferences, staying informed on the latest research and treatment advancements in mental health.

The client population at Willow Counseling Center encompasses a wide range of individuals, including adults, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. We cater to clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels understood and supported. Clients typically seek our services for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance abuse.

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and implementing effective treatment strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment plans effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining professional ethics and boundaries while engaging in a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Previous experience in providing both individual and group therapy, particularly in a telehealth setting.
• Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in mental health care.
• Participation in professional committees or community outreach programs related to mental health advocacy.
