Partner with the best

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Cloud Senior Engineer specializing in architecture, deployment, and management of Google Workspace/GCP and Microsoft 365 solutions. You will also serve as the Lead Engineer for a GCC High M365 tenant, requiring expertise in government environments (e.g., GCC High and IL5).

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the administration, security, and governance of the GCC High M365 tenant, ensuring all configurations and security controls meet government regulations
  • Utilizing Google Gemini capabilities across Google Workspace and GCP. Work with underlying infrastructure (RAG/MCP) to support AI solutions and integrate collaboration tools with business systems.
  • Designing, implementing, and securing complex multi-cloud deployments (M365, GWS, GCP).
  • Overseeing tenant-to-tenant and platform migration projects, converting legacy systems to compliant cloud solutions.
  • Automating using PowerShell, Python, Google Apps Script, Advanced GAM, and REST APIs for enhanced efficiency across all platforms.
  • Providing expert (Tier 3) technical support, troubleshoot complex multi-faceted issues, and create comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree in relevant field
  • Have experience (5+ years) in leading complex M365 and/or Google Workspace/GCP projects, including experience with GCC or GCC High tenants.
  • Demonstrate In-depth knowledge of Google Gemini, GWS services (Docs, Drive, Admin Console), and core GCP components (IAM, Compute Engine, VPC).
  • Show knowledge of M365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune) and Entra ID, specifically within government compliance boundaries.
  • Have understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory requirements (FedRAMP, CMMC, IL5) and their application across M365 and GWS/GCP security features.
  • Show proficiency in PowerShell, GAM, Google Apps Script, and advanced automation techniques.
  • Be a U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain security clearance.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $112,500 - $202,500/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
