Job description

Purpose

The Admissions Representative is responsible for working with prospective students.  They will actively manage and service a database of prospective students including outreach, conducting admissions meetings, and helping students complete the enrollment steps.   

  • Has a genuine passion for people, higher education, and the art community. 
  • Is a high-energy professional with exceptional relationship building presentation, communication and organizational skills. 
  • Ensures exemplary services and assistance are provided to engage prospective students with the college admissions process, which requires excellent time management skills and daily follow-up with inquiries and applicants. 
  • Ability to actively solve problems, identifying solutions to address prospective student concerns. 
  • Participates in recruiting events and other critical tasks as outlined by the Admissions Enrollment Manager. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (those that must be performed with or without an ADA Accommodation):

  • Management of prospective student databases to meet and exceed daily & weekly goals along with achieving student matriculation outcomes. 
  • High volume daily outreach to prospective inquiries should result in rapport and relationship building, setting appointments, conducting admissions meetings and helping students apply to and matriculate to the college. 
  • Consistent follow-up with applicants to complete enrollment steps and address any concerns or needs. 
  • Continually seeks out knowledge to improve product awareness and provide a superior level of service. 
  • Participation in recruiting events and activities as assigned  
  • Procurement of student referrals through strong relationship building.

  • Two (2) years' experience in student facing roles related to admissions, recruitment, higher education or sales.

  • Self-motivated, adaptive, resilient, and embody integrity, always willing to do the right thing.
  • Dynamic and innovative personality with a strong desire to connect with people. 
  • Possess strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excel at face-to-face and phone communication in both “one-on-one” and large group environments. 
  • Clear and professional communication skills (written and oral), comfortable with calling campaigns in addition to building bridges across all college departments through collaboration and understanding. 
  • Open to coaching is non-defensive and always seeking to improve. Displays characteristics consistent with being highly accountable to results.
