What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Window Cleaner, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Window Cleaner, you need strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and experience with commercial or residential cleaning, often supported by a valid driver's license and basic safety training. Familiarity with window cleaning tools such as water-fed poles, squeegees, extension ladders, and sometimes the use of specialized equipment or cleaning solutions is typical. Excellent customer service, reliability, and time management are key soft skills to build client trust and ensure efficient job completion. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering high-quality results, maintaining safety standards, and fostering repeat business in a competitive cleaning industry.

Is window cleaning a good side hustle?

Window cleaning is a common side hustle that can provide flexible income, especially for those with basic cleaning skills and access to tools like squeegees and ladders. However, physical effort and safety precautions are important considerations for success in this role.

What are remote window cleaners?

Remote window cleaners are professionals who clean windows on buildings, homes, or commercial properties without being physically present at the location. They typically use specialized equipment, such as robotic window cleaning devices or remotely operated machinery, to perform the cleaning tasks from a distance. This approach enhances safety by reducing the need for workers to be on scaffolding or ladders, especially on high-rise buildings. Remote window cleaning can also improve efficiency and reach difficult or hazardous areas that would be challenging for traditional cleaners.

How much do window cleaners get paid per house?

What are some common challenges remote window cleaners face, and how can they be addressed?

Remote window cleaners often encounter challenges such as coordinating schedules with clients, ensuring access to buildings, and managing safety protocols without direct on-site supervision. To address these, clear communication with clients and property managers is crucial, as is using digital tools for scheduling and progress tracking. Additionally, staying updated with safety training and remote monitoring technologies can help ensure jobs are completed efficiently and safely.

Job description

This isn't a job — it's your own business. Harmony Health is partnering with licensed health agents to sell ACA Marketplace plans this Open Enrollment as independent 1099 partners. You set your own hours, work 100% remote, and every customer you enroll becomes part of a book that's yours.

You work for yourself

  • 1099 independent partnership — not a job, not employment. You're the boss.
  • Set your own hours; work from anywhere with a computer and a good connection.
  • Partner under your own SSN or your own company.
  • You own your book — every customer you enroll is yours to keep.

How you earn — three ways

  • $35 for every member you enroll, paid weekly (an upfront advance)
  • $5 PMPM (per member, per month) — ongoing residual income on your book, paid as long as the customer stays active
  • Overrides on any agents you recruit or refer — build a team and earn on their production too
  • A book that keeps paying you month after month, even after the season ends
  • Add dental, vision, and accident coverage for more income and a stickier book

Recruit or refer a friend — earn overrides

You don't have to sell alone. Recruit or refer other licensed agents to partner under you and get paid on what they write:

  • Recruit or refer other licensed agents to partner under you — and earn an override on every member they enroll
  • It's income on top of your own production — you get paid on their book, not just yours
  • The more producers you bring in, the more your override income compounds

We bring the machine — you bring the license

  • Leads provided at no out-of-pocket cost to you
  • Phone system and software included — $0 upfront, nothing out of your pocket
  • All carrier appointments set up through us so you're ready on day one
  • We provide the CMS guidelines so you sell clean and compliant

What you need

  • Active health licenses in FL, TX, and GA (minimum — more states is better) + E&O insurance
  • You'll need these before you receive your partner contract; don't have all three yet? Get started anyway and we'll show you how
  • A reliable computer and a wired Ethernet connection
  • Your only cost is your own licensing — everything else is on us

The honest part

This is a short, seasonal window — Open Enrollment runs Nov 1 – Dec 15, and may extend to Jan 15 depending on the plan year. The $35 is an advance, so it's subject to chargeback if a policy doesn't stay active and paid for three full months. The best protection is simple: write clean business that sticks. Compliance always comes first — and doing it right keeps your book and your money intact.
