The Field Service Tech (FST) is the front-line field service representative and is responsible for fulfilling the customer's expectations during on-site activities. The FST is experienced in JBT Marel equipment (or equivalent) and works independently, solving technical and/or technological issues for a standard product process. The FST may mentor junior FSTs and provide basic training.
What you will be doing:
  • Provides outstanding service in troubleshooting, repair, installation, maintenance, and customer training for Marel machinery at client sites. This involves preparing for service activities, offering aftercare for new installations, staying in regular contact with the customer, and reporting on progress.
  • You will report to the Field Service Manager
  • Extensive travel within the allotted territory
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

What we are looking for:
  • Knowledgeable in customer service principles and processes, including assessing customer requirements, ensuring service quality, and evaluating customer satisfaction levels.
  • Mechatronics experience with several years of electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Customer face-to-face interaction skills and commercial service skills•
  • Social perceptiveness•
  • Technical competence in an engineering discipline
  • Solid knowledge and experience with common business applications such as MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.
  • Have a good command of the English language.
  • Must have or obtain a Passport
  • Valid US drivers' license with insurable driving record.

Nice to have:
  • Industrial electrical certificate.
  • Poultry industry experience.

Requirements for the role
  • You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Travel & Location
  • This position is fully remote and we ask that you travel approximately 75% of the time.

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $30-$45 an hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
