Remote Whnp Jobs in Rochester, NY (NOW HIRING)

Remote Whnp information

What is a remote WHNP?

Remote Women's Health Nurse Practitioners (WHNPs) are advanced practice registered nurses who provide healthcare services to women, focusing on reproductive, obstetric, and gynecological health, but they do so virtually rather than in person. They use telehealth technology to consult with patients, review medical histories, prescribe medications, and develop care plans. This remote role allows WHNPs to reach patients in underserved or rural areas and provide flexible healthcare solutions. Their work helps bridge gaps in women's health services by making expert care more accessible.

How does a remote WHNP collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care?

As a remote Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams—such as physicians, mental health professionals, and social workers—typically occurs through secure telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and regular virtual meetings. Communication is key to coordinating care plans, sharing updates on patient progress, and consulting on complex cases. Remote WHNPs are often proactive in reaching out to team members and participating in case conferences to ensure all aspects of patient health are addressed, despite not being physically present. This approach supports comprehensive, high-quality care and fosters a supportive, connected work environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote WHNP, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote WHNP, you need advanced clinical expertise in women's health, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), national board certification, and an active nurse practitioner license. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and secure communication systems is essential for remote service delivery. Strong communication, empathy, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for engaging patients virtually and collaborating with remote care teams. These skills ensure effective, high-quality patient care and seamless virtual interactions in a telehealth environment.

You built your career caring for women at a time when the healthcare system largely ignored them. You know HRT, you understand the complexity of perimenopause, and you've spent years earning the clinical instincts it takes to actually get this right. Now you want to do it at scale - for more patients, with fewer barriers, and in a practice model that matches how you already think and work.

That's what Midi is. A fully virtual, fast-paced clinical environment built specifically around women's midlife health - and designed for NPs who are ready to practice at their best.

THE ROLE

You'll carry a full patient panel, managing perimenopause, menopause, weight, sexual health, mood, and sleep - all virtually. This is ongoing, relationship-based care, which means your patients come back to you - visit after visit, over months and years. You'll prescribe and independently manage HRT (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone), evaluate patients for pharmacologic weight management including GLP-1 therapies, and make autonomous clinical decisions every day.

It's a high-volume environment. Documentation, follow-through, and productivity benchmarks are part of the job - and the NPs who thrive here don't fight that reality, they're built for it. If you're the kind of clinician who runs efficient visits without sacrificing warmth, closes every loop without being reminded, and moves comfortably between patients and platforms, you'll feel at home here.

WHO THRIVES HERE

Our most successful NPs tend to share a few things in common:

  • They are genuinely passionate about women's midlife health - this isn't a stopover, it's their calling
  • They are fluent with technology - EHR, video, AI scribe tools, Slack, clinical decision support - and they adapt quickly when tools change
  • They hold themselves to a high standard without needing to be managed toward it
  • They can carry a full panel, hit productivity targets, and still make every patient feel like the only one
  • They've practiced independently long enough to trust their own clinical judgment
  • They believe that listening deeply and documenting accurately are both forms of excellent care

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active board certification: FNP-C / FNP-BC or WHNP-BC
  • 3+ years independently managing perimenopause and menopause patients
  • 3+ years independently prescribing and titrating HRT
  • 3+ years managing a continuous NP patient panel - building ongoing relationships and making autonomous clinical decisions over time
  • 3+ years of synchronous telemedicine experience
  • 1+ year evaluating and prescribing pharmacologic weight management therapies, including GLP-1 agonists
  • Multiple active state licenses (DEA preferred)
  • Preferred: certification in Menopause (MSCP) and/or Obesity Medicine

WHY MIDI

  • A patient population that is engaged, informed, and deeply grateful for real care
  • Full clinical autonomy within a supportive, protocol-driven framework
  • Fully remote with scheduling between 7am-7pm patient local time
  • Desirable benefits package
  • Accredited training eligible for Continuing Education (CE)
  • Clinician Professional Development Allowance
  • Paid time off
  • A team that takes women's health as seriously as you do

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This is a fully remote position requiring reliable high-speed internet access and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment. The role involves prolonged computer use, including extended periods of sitting, video conferencing, and electronic documentation. To support patient access and business needs, occasional evening, weekend, or multi-time-zone coverage may be required.
