Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental and emotional status, identifying their needs, strengths, and concerns.
  • Evaluate and establish treatment goals in collaboration with clients to customize effective therapy plans.
  • Deliver individual and couples therapy sessions, employing techniques suited to address a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship strife.
  • Review and adjust treatment plans regularly to ensure they remain relevant and effective, reflecting ongoing client progress.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external healthcare providers to create a comprehensive support network for clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies, ensuring clients in acute distress receive immediate attention and care.
  • Engage in continual professional development, staying updated with emerging therapeutic practices and research in the field.
  • Promote self-care and wellness, both for yourself and your clients, to enhance overall therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Advocate for clients' rights, ensuring that they have access to relevant resources and services as needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples. We serve individuals experiencing struggles with various mental health issues, relationship conflicts, and life transitions. You will be instrumental in creating a safe space where clients can openly discuss their challenges and work towards healing and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
  • A valid and active license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is mandatory.
  • Proven experience providing individual and/or couples therapy.
  • Strong documentation skills, with proficiency in completing assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in a timely manner.
