• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate patients' psychological and emotional needs, developing individualized treatment plans that prioritize their comfort and dignity.
• Employ evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to address issues related to grief, anxiety, and depression in patients and families.
• Maintain precise and confidential clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies, ensuring high standards of data integrity and patient privacy.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and chaplains, to deliver holistic care that encompasses medical, emotional, and spiritual support for patients.
• Educate and support patients and their loved ones, facilitating discussions about care choices, coping strategies, and available resources while addressing their emotional concerns.
• Stay current with trends in mental health by engaging in ongoing professional development, attending workshops, and integrating new research into your practice.

The primary client population includes individuals facing terminal illnesses, where mental health support is critical to enhance quality of life and facilitate coping during end-of-life stages. You will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds, each with unique stories and emotional responses. Your role will involve addressing complex emotions, providing grief counseling, and facilitating family discussions about care preferences and transitions.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid LCSW license for the state of Georgia is necessary to practice.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health or hospice setting is preferred, providing a solid foundation of skills and knowledge.
• Proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy interventions, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care approaches.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration and rapport-building with patients and families.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and engage in critical thinking within a dynamic care environment.

• Experience working specifically within hospice or palliative care settings.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
• Knowledge of community resources that can support patients and families in need.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
