This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while working in a detox center environment. You will collaborate closely with medical teams and other healthcare providers, engaging in virtual meetings and consultations to deliver holistic patient care. The detox center setting necessitates a keen understanding of the emotional and psychological complexities that accompany substance withdrawal and recovery, making your role pivotal in the healing process.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients’ emotional, social, and financial needs, collaborating effectively with medical teams to create tailored care plans.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions addressing a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, grief, and coping strategies.
• Implement and monitor discharge plans, ensuring safe transitions for patients to community resources and post-discharge support, maintaining continuity of care.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients and their families, particularly during high-stress situations frequent in detox settings.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

The patients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds, often dealing with complex mental health issues linked to substance use disorders. Your role is crucial in addressing not just their immediate psychosocial needs but also in fostering resilience and coping mechanisms that contribute to long-term recovery. You will work closely with individuals and families who are navigating the often-challenging journey of detoxification and rehabilitation.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting, preferably within addiction recovery or mental health.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, mental health disorders, and effective crisis intervention techniques.
• Proficient skills in communication, rapport-building, and teamwork, which are critical in a remote work setting.
