Position Overview

We are seeking a fully licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in substance abuse counseling to join our dedicated team at Gotham Enterprises Ltd. This full-time remote position offers the flexibility to work with clients in a supportive digital environment, catering to individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. With a salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 80,000 yearly, this role is pivotal in fostering healing and growth in clients' lives.

About the Organization

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is a respected substance abuse treatment center located in Woburn, Massachusetts. Our mission is to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals on their journey to recovery. We emphasize a compassionate approach, offering evidence-based therapies that empower clients to overcome addiction and develop fulfilling, substance-free lifestyles. Our collaborative team of licensed therapists, counselors, and mental health professionals is dedicated to achieving the highest standards of care through personalized treatment plans.

Work Environment

As a remote position, the therapist will engage with clients through a robust telehealth platform, ensuring accessibility and convenience. Our approach allows for flexible scheduling, accommodating evenings and weekends to meet the diverse needs of our clients. This virtual setting is designed to create a safe and therapeutic environment where clients can express themselves openly, free from the stigma often associated with substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate both addiction recovery strategies and interventions for underlying mental health conditions.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other therapeutic practices tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to ensure holistic and integrated care for our clients.
  • Educate and engage clients' families, promoting understanding and support that enhances recovery efforts.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that aligns with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on individuals grappling with substance use disorders. Our clients range in age and demographic background, necessitating a therapist who is capable of adapting their therapeutic techniques to meet varying needs. By addressing not only the addiction itself but also the complex mental health issues often intertwined with substance abuse, our therapists play a critical role in guiding clients toward a sustainable recovery path.

Qualifications
  • Valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with preference for candidates holding a master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.
  • Sound knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with proficiency in establishing rapport and motivating clients in their recovery journey.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, fostering effective collaboration with the treatment team in a virtual setting.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly in the substance abuse treatment arena.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital therapy methodologies, enhancing accessibility for clients.
  • Experience in developing and implementing group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared experiences among clients.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary between USD 70,000 and 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance options, a retirement savings plan, and earned paid time off.
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development and continuing education in the field of addiction counseling and mental health.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment, offering regular supervision and additional training to enhance clinical skills.
  • The chance to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals on their recovery journey, aiding them in achieving long-term sobriety and happiness.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we believe in fostering professional growth. Licensed therapists will have access to mentorship programs, workshops, and industry conferences aimed at enhancing both therapeutic skills and understanding of emerging treatment methodologies. There are also possibilities for advancement into supervisory or specialized roles within our organization.
