This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, ensuring that our therapists can effectively deliver services to clients in their home environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our outpatient office in Peoria serves as a supportive hub for our staff, promoting a team-oriented culture where innovative ideas for treatment and care flourish. The remote aspect allows for personalized and adaptive therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and their family.

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions via secured digital platforms, focusing on fostering therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches in sessions, concentrating on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills. This aims to reduce high-risk behaviors, such as Self-Injurious Behavior (SIB) and physical violence.
• Assist children and caregivers in improving decision-making skills to effectively manage behavioral issues in their home environment.
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team, sharing insights and strategies that contribute to client treatment plans.
• Timely complete essential documentation, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, while adhering to organizational policies.
• Engage actively in weekly team meetings to discuss client progress and share best practices for effective therapy.

This role specifically focuses on working with a diverse group of children, aged 3 to 20, who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disorders. You will play a crucial role in guiding their journey toward improved mental health and enhanced coping mechanisms. The therapist's ability to communicate in both Spanish and Portuguese is highly valued, enabling us to serve a broader community effectively.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• Possession of a valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
• Flexibility to work some weekends is advantageous, along with availability for at least 5-10 hours during after-school hours, typically from 4 PM to 7 PM.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
• Successful completion of a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprint analysis, is required.

• Previous experience providing positive behavior support in clinical or community settings.
• Experience working with children and adolescents who have intellectual and developmental impairments (I/DD) is preferred.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, our therapists benefit from:
