Sevita Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team of mental health professionals. This full-time, remote position offers you the flexibility to provide vital therapy services from the comfort of your home while contributing to the well-being of our clients in Bellingham, Washington. With an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, this role is designed for individuals passionate about supporting those facing mood disorders.

This role is set in a remote work environment, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring comprehensive care for our clients. While your primary hours will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, there may be opportunities for evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis as needed.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders, including collecting detailed histories to evaluate symptom severity and impact.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating their personal goals and preferences.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) effectively.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery.
• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on progress and feedback during the therapeutic process.
• Foster a strong therapeutic alliance, creating a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Engage in case consultations and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive treatment strategies and share insights regarding client progress.
• Participate actively in professional development opportunities and training to stay ahead with the latest clinical practices and emerging research.
• Advocate for clients on issues related to mental health stigma, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and community support.

You will work primarily with clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Your role is crucial in delivering therapeutic interventions that lead to improved mental health outcomes, helping clients navigate challenges and develop coping strategies that foster resilience.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential for this role.
• Valid and current licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington is required.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and upholding the highest standards of client confidentiality.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

• A minimum of two years post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology principles and the nuances of collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
• A proven track record of achieving positive therapeutic outcomes in a mental health setting.
