Both roles require similar certifications but differ mainly in work environment and delivery method.

Are remote weekend flight instructors in high demand?

Remote weekend flight instructors are in moderate demand, primarily due to the need for flexible scheduling for student pilots. The demand depends on the region, flight school size, and the availability of qualified instructors with certifications such as CFIs, but overall, the role offers opportunities for part-time work with consistent demand in the aviation training industry.

Is it possible to be a part-time remote weekend flight instructor?

Remote weekend flight instructor positions are uncommon because flight instruction typically requires in-person training at an airport or flight school. However, some flight schools may offer part-time or weekend schedules for ground instruction or online training components, but actual flight instruction generally cannot be conducted remotely. Certification and licensing requirements also necessitate in-person flight hours and supervision.
