Work Environment

This position is designed for remote work, allowing you to provide therapy to clients from the comfort of your own space while still being an integral part of a dynamic clinical team. Our structured schedule offers flexibility, with work hours primarily from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis. You will be equipped with the necessary tools and technology to engage effectively with clients virtually, ensuring that high standards of care are upheld.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders to evaluate symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans targeting their specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster client recovery.
  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote mental wellness.
  • Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to maintain an integrated approach to client care.
  • Stay informed on current research and advancements in the field of mental health, incorporating new evidence into treatment practices.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in line with ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and training sessions to advance clinical skills and uphold best practices in mood disorder treatment.
  • Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, promoting awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our diverse patient population includes adults from various backgrounds, each with unique stories and challenges, allowing you to utilize a range of therapeutic techniques and tailor your approach to meet individual needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting specializing in mood disorders.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to treating mood disorders is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience

Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting that serves a diverse population is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will enhance your ability to deliver seamless care.
