Position Overview

The Youth Mental Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote team. This full-time position will allow you to provide essential mental health services to individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while accessing our virtual community health clinic's resources. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns and strengths, forming the foundation for your treatment approach.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of your clients.
  • Utilize therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care to help clients achieve their mental health goals.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting clear and achievable goals for their therapeutic journey.
  • Work cohesively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure that clients receive holistic and coordinated care.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and risk assessment for clients in immediate distress, providing them with safety planning and support.
  • Lead group therapy sessions and psychoeducation classes, enhancing the therapeutic experience through shared learning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with ethical and legal standards, safeguarding client confidentiality.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients encompass individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, each seeking support for various mental health challenges. You will engage with clients facing issues ranging from chronic stress and anxiety to depression and emotional trauma. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state you reside in.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and familiarity with current trends and best practices in mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective engagement with clients and team members.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting is preferred, recent graduates with robust training and experience during internships will also be considered. Familiarity with teletherapy technologies and protocols will be an advantage in delivering virtual care effectively.
