This is a fully remote position, offering an opportunity to contribute to a top-tier legal team focused on maintaining the highest ethical standards and supporting firmwide business development.

If you have a deep understanding of conflict analysis, legal ethics, and risk management, and are ready to take on a sophisticated and autonomous role within a collaborative environment, this is the position for you.

About the Role

As a Conflicts Attorney, you will play an integral role in supporting the firm’s conflicts and compliance operations. You’ll be responsible for analyzing new business intake, reviewing client and matter data, and identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest. You’ll also assist with lateral onboarding, manage ethical walls, draft waivers, and advise attorneys on conflict clearance and compliance matters.

This role requires exceptional analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys and firm leadership across practice areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and timely conflicts analysis for new clients, matters, and hires firmwide.

  • Review intake materials to identify ethical or business conflicts of interest, ensuring compliance with firm policies and professional standards.

  • Communicate with attorneys to clarify client and matter details and resolve potential conflicts.

  • Draft and review conflict waivers and related documentation.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Risk Management on complex conflict issues and compliance matters.

  • Review and interpret Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs) to ensure adherence to client requirements.

  • Assist in constructing, monitoring, and maintaining ethical walls and screening protocols.

  • Maintain accurate and current records of conflict resolutions and waiver documentation in firm databases.

  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies in conflicts reports.

  • Stay informed on legal ethics rules and trends impacting conflicts and risk management.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.

  • Licensed and in good standing in one of the following states: California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, or Illinois.

  • 8–10 years of experience in conflict analysis within a large law firm required.

  • Expertise with Intapp Open required; familiarity with 3E, iManage, and Intapp Walls preferred.

  • Strong understanding of professional responsibility and ethical standards for law firms.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and analytical ability.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of handling multiple requests with efficiency.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with firm teams.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $160,000 – $220,000 annually (commensurate with experience).

  • Bonus Potential: Based on individual and firm performance.

  • Fully Remote Position: Work from anywhere within the U.S.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: 401(k), health, dental, vision, profit sharing, and more.

  • Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values integrity, precision, and proactive problem-solving.
