Both roles require blockchain knowledge, but Remote Web3 Developers typically emphasize application development and user-facing projects.

What is a Remote Web3 Developer?

A Remote Web3 Developer is a software engineer who specializes in building decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts that interact with blockchain technologies, all while working from a remote location. Their work often involves using programming languages like Solidity, JavaScript, or Rust, and frameworks such as Ethereum, Polkadot, or Solana. Remote Web3 Developers collaborate with global teams to create, test, and deploy blockchain-based solutions for various industries, including finance, gaming, and supply chain. With the rise of decentralized technologies, this role is in high demand and often offers flexible work arrangements. They must also stay updated on the rapidly evolving blockchain ecosystem.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Web3 Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Web3 Developer, you need strong programming skills in languages like Solidity or Rust, a solid understanding of blockchain technology, and experience with smart contract development. Familiarity with decentralized application (dApp) frameworks, version control systems like Git, and blockchain platforms such as Ethereum or Polkadot is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and effective remote communication skills set outstanding candidates apart. These abilities are crucial for building secure, innovative blockchain solutions and collaborating effectively in distributed teams.

What are some common challenges a Remote Web3 Developer might face, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Web3 Developers often navigate rapidly evolving technologies and decentralized platforms, which can present unique challenges such as integrating with various blockchains, ensuring security in smart contracts, and keeping pace with frequent updates. Collaboration can also be complex since teams are often distributed globally and may work asynchronously. To address these challenges, developers can participate in regular virtual stand-ups, utilize collaborative tools like GitHub and Slack, and commit to continuous learning through online courses and community forums. Establishing clear communication channels and documenting processes also help maintain project coherence and security standards.

Job description

The Mission
We aren't looking for a traditional corporate Product Owner who sits back and manages a stable, mature product line. We are building something brand new from scratch (0-to-1), and we need a Product Owner who thrives in chaos, turns ambiguity into a concrete roadmap, and can drive a product from a blank canvas to a successful market launch.
Your mission is to own the MVP lifecycle. You will work side-by-side with engineering, design, and leadership to define the core features, strip away the noise, and ship a high-quality product that users love. This is a remote role for someone who embraces extreme ownership and is excited by the challenge of building in fast-moving industries like Web3, Gaming, Gambling, eSports, and highly engaged digital communities.
We value momentum, raw product judgment, and execution over rigid corporate frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
  • MVP Scoping & Definition: Take high-level, ambiguous business concepts and ruthlessly prioritize them into a lean, actionable Minimum Viable Product (MVP) specification.
  • Backlog Architecture & Execution: Build the product backlog from scratch. Write crystal-clear user stories, define acceptance criteria, and run efficient sprint cycles to keep engineering moving fast.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Serve as the central hub connecting Engineering, Design, and Leadership. Ensure the design team isn't over-engineering UI and the development team is building the right core architecture.
  • 0-to-1 Risk Management: Identify technical, design, and market risks early. Pivot fast when technical blockers arise without losing sight of the launch deadline.
  • Go-To-Market Ready: Partner with marketing and operations to prepare the product for its first wave of real users, establishing the initial analytics and feedback loops.

Requirements
The 0-to-1 Builder: Proven experience taking a digital product from absolute concept to public launch in a startup or high-growth environment.
Ruthless Prioritization: The ability to say "no" to good ideas so you can focus on the vital ideas required for launch.
High Technical Literacy: You aren't coding, but you deeply understand web/mobile architecture, APIs, and technical trade-offs. You can hold your own in a room full of engineers.
Design Partnership: Strong collaboration skills with UX/UI designers. You know how to guide design sprint cycles without stifling creativity.
Startup Grit: You thrive when resources are tight, deadlines are real, and guidelines don't exist. You create the process; you don't wait for one.
Benefits
Why Join Us?
We offer more than just a product role; we offer the chance to architect the future of internet-native experiences.
  • Extreme Autonomy: We value output over hours.
  • Global Scale: Lead a product that is touched by thousands of players every day across a worldwide landscape.
  • A Culture of Momentum: Join a team that moves at the speed of light. You will be constantly challenged to innovate, scale, and outperform the market.
  • High-Growth Upside: We value "potential over pedigree." For a builder who takes extreme ownership, there is a clear runway to shape the entire product organization.
