This position is the recognized resource for and provides oversight and monitoring of the Senior Volunteer Programs (SVPs) administered by ACLS (Foster Grandparent Program, Senior Companion Program, and Retired Senior Volunteer Program) to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. It provides technical assistance and policy interpretation for SVP grantees, including executive directors, project directors and program staff. The position provides consultation to new SVP Directors and program staff and technical assistance to grantees in resolving budget and programmatic issues.

It develops and hosts annual and quarterly trainings and best practices sessions for grantees. This position is also responsible for generating state and federally mandated reports related to the SVPs. It utilizes the Volunteer Information System (VIS); the Volunteer Annual Funding Agreement (VAFA), the in-process Volunteer Assessment module; and ACLS's Financial Information Reporting System Technology (FIRST).

The position identifies and conducts presentations on matters that require the approval of the Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging approval.
