Job description

Description

Join the Marketing Programs team and take ownership of TELUS and Koodo's add a line (AAL) & add a X (AAX) (tablet, watch etc) portfolio. As part of the larger Postpaid Marketing Acquisition, Brand & Value Proposition team, we are responsible for driving profitable growth through strategic segments of TELUS Consumer Solutions. Our team has direct responsibility and supporting leadership for all '4 Ps' of the marketing mix to drive our business objectives.

You'll join a national collaborative team across multiple time zones that thrives on autonomy and accountability. We're designed to work together-each team member owns their portfolio piece while working toward shared program goals. You'll partner with SMEs across channels and functions to bring strategy to life, and you'll have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior team members as we grow together.

As the AAL Senior Marketing Manager, you'll own the portfolio, consulting on everything from target-setting, to program design, to the offers we want to surface. This is a great fit for someone who wants to own an impactful portfolio, and is able to lead without direct authority working with a talented cross-functional team to drive results. We're looking for someone who brings a strong ability to design a comprehensive program across pricing, product, promotion, and channels, and can drive each piece to be part of a bigger picture.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As a pivotal strategic force in TELUS and Koodo's growth strategy, you'll drive AAL/AAX outcomes across customer acquisition and retention-directly influencing revenue and market share.

#LI-REMOTE

You'll serve as the strategic architect of our AAL/AAX portfolio, owning the entire program lifecycle from concept to optimization. You'll lead strategy on both customer acquisition (multi-line/multi-product) and customer retention (growing existing accounts), designing a test-and-learn program that evolves based on real customer insights. You will drive campaign excellence, optimizing customer engagement and conversion. You will go deep into analytics and contribute meaningfully to our long term growth strategy of the team. Collaborating closely with our Consumer Base team, you'll ensure AAL/AAX strategy feels cohesive across the portfolio.

Here's how:
  • You will drive strategy and program design for AAL & AAX campaigns cross channel, being the portfolio's champion within the business
  • You drive data-driven test and learn strategies-designing rapid experiments with our teams, analyzing what resonates with customers, and iterating strategies based on real-world insights rather than assumptions
  • You will collaborate with our Consumer Base counterparts to make the strategy feel cohesive, and share wins and ideas to drive success across the portfolio
  • You'll develop our reporting structure in collaboration with other teams to ensure we're consistently surfacing valuable performance information and understand what barriers we need to overcome both for internal teams and our customers
  • You'll present quarterly strategy reviews and performance insights to senior leadership, translating complex data into compelling business narratives
Qualifications

You're the missing piece of the puzzle if:

Must-Haves:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in marketing or channel strategy
  • You've led a marketing program across 3+ channels (e.g., email, web, in-store, paid media, direct mail) and coordinated cross-channel execution to drive cohesive customer experience
  • You possess strong communication skills and a natural ability to influence even without direct authority, able to translate business needs into asks and discovery conversations with diverse teams
  • You're comfortable translating complex insights for senior leadership and surfacing the headlines that matter most
  • You use data strategically-not just analyzing available metrics, but identifying what's missing and building dashboards and reporting that surface the insights that matter
  • You thrive in roles that work at the centre of cross-functional matrix teams, and want to partner with SMEs in various channels and subjects to achieve ambitious business objectives
  • You have excellent project management skills, taking something from an idea to launch
  • You have a bias for action to get deliverables completed
  • You thrive in change and ambiguity, handling shifting demands with ease
  • You are naturally curious and have a drive to deeply understand our business and seek out new areas of opportunity
  • You're transparent, reliable and have a positive attitude
  • You're a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, changing environment, has a strong sense of ownership, and is excited to contribute to a fun and collaborative work environment

Nice-to-Have:

You have experience mentoring and working with more junior team members to help develop as a team

Don't have everything you think we need for 'what it takes'? Don't let that dissuade you! Attitude, motivation, and a willingness to learn and collaborate are the most important things we are looking for. So now if you think you have what it takes, please apply

What we give back to you

  • High opportunity for ownership, and to be recognized and rewarded for excelling
  • Highly-engaged, dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Opportunities for personal development through training, networking and career development
  • Organization that continuously supports you giving back to the community you live in
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Place that passionately put our customers and communities first, embrace change and innovate courageously, and grow together through spirited teamwork.

Please note - You can be located anywhere in Canada, but the ideal candidate is flexible to work Eastern business hours
