The Role We are seeking a Senior Director of Specialized Compliance & Risk to serve as senior leader and regulatory strategist. This critical hire will be responsible for navigating a complex multi-jurisdictional landscape, ensuring that our growth and innovation remain aligned with global standards.


You will lead engagement with external authorities and industry partners, serving as a trusted representative of our brand. Internally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Operations, and Technologyโ€”to bridge the gap between product development and regulatory requirements. This role offers significant exposure to the executive suite and the opportunity to influence the long-term business strategy of a market leader.


WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A SR DIRECTOR, GAMING COMPLIANCE RISK

  • Executive Advisory: Serve as a principal leader within the Global Risk & Compliance function, providing expert counsel to the executive suite on regulatory landscapes, strategic risk, and evolving governance standards.
  • External Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies across global jurisdictions, cultivating transparent and collaborative partnerships.
  • Strategic Expansion: Orchestrate regulatory strategy for new market entries, representing the organization before industry stakeholders to ensure alignment and advocate for balanced, risk-based frameworks.
  • Intelligence & Translation: Monitor global legislative shifts and enforcement trends, distilling complex requirements into actionable internal strategies and operational roadmaps.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively detect emerging policy issues and regulatory hurdles, designing mitigation strategies that protect the business while enabling product innovation.
  • Governance Consistency: Establish unified and defensible regulatory stances across all regions, effectively balancing statutory obligations with commercial goals.
  • Mentorship & Culture: Act as a senior subject matter expert, fostering a culture of compliance through team mentorship and the continuous strengthening of the organizationโ€™s regulatory posture.


Required:

  • 10+ years of experience working in gaming compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management, preferably within regulated gaming, sports betting, iGaming, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging directly with gaming regulators, laboratories, or government agencies at a senior level.
  • Deep understanding of gaming regulatory frameworks, enforcement trends, and regulator expectations.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex regulatory issues clearly and persuasively to regulators and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and influence outcomes in fast-moving, highly regulated environments.
  • Strategic mindset paired with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to regulatory compliance.



Salary: The US base salary range for this full-time position is 175,000.00 USD - 235,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
