Job Description
Senior Architect, Azure Infrastructure
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to monitoring alerts and client requests, both break-fix and proactive support work
  • Provide architect-level support for clients' Azure environments, focused on infrastructure and security, including architecting new environments and changes to existing environments.
  • Plan and resolve issues identified in vulnerability reports at the Azure and OS level.
  • Lead best practice security assessments of clients' Azure environments.
  • Respond to security alerts, including basic triage and response (up to device/user isolation). Escalate security issues to clients as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients in their Azure environment.
  • Act as a technical mentor and advisor for junior team members.
  • Ability to be on call (additional stipend, approx. 1 week/month)
    • ~1 call/month on average

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Azure experience, with a focus on infrastructure, security, and networking
    • Basic experience with PaaS resources is expected.
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server and related components, including Active Directory, Group Policy, server management, etc.
  • Some experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Entra ID tenant management, Exchange Online, Intune, etc.)
  • Some PowerShell experience is expected.
  • Experience with Linux is a plus.
  • Experience managing firewalls (specifically Palo Altos) is a plus.
  • General areas of support
    • Azure infrastructure and networking
    • Azure PaaS components, particularly on the core platform/infrastructure side
    • ADO, DevOps, GitHub, WAF
    • Azure diagnostics and logging
    • Virtual firewalls (Palo Altos)
    • Microsoft Sentinel
    • Microsoft Defender XDR stack
    • External monitoring system (LogicMonitor)
    • Microsoft 365 & Entra ID
    • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and OS-level issues

Base Salary Pay Range*: USD 140,000 - USD 180,000
