Manager, Vulnerability Management
Location: Remote
Compensation: $89,501 - $127,186 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel Requirements: Regular travel between 15%-25%
What you can expect as the Manager, Vulnerability Management at Fortress...
The Manager, Vulnerability Management will bring their experienced leadership to manage a team whose processes, detects, investigates, and verifies software and component threats on Fortress client networks. You will serve as a subject matter expert for cyber security in multiple domains including asset management, threat and vulnerability management, and risk management. You will direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams within Fortress in support of client requirements and objectives, manage and mentor a growing team of analysts, and work with client team leads to determine program pain points and provide suggested solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams within Fortress (i.e., products, development, etc.) in support of Client requirements and objectives.
  • Serve as the SME for cyber security in multiple domains (i.e., asset management, threat and vulnerability management, risk management, etc.)
  • Work with Client team leads to determine program pain points and provide suggested solutions.
  • Manage the creation of Client test cases for each platform release, communicate testing timeframes, and troubleshoot failed test cases.
  • Ensure that work is being completed to client and internal quality standards for all analysts.
  • Periodic programmatic status reporting (i.e., monthly, quarterly, and annually) by client
  • Execute managerial duties, including but not limited to, conducting ongoing conversations, providing feedback, coaching, and training, and participating in performance management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in multiple cyber security domains with a minimum of 2 years' experience in asset and vulnerability management
  • 3+ years of experience in progressive leadership roles.
  • Cybersecurity-related certifications (CISA, CISM, GIAC, CISSP or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in client services with an ability to deliver quality results in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in distilling the details into meaningful and impactful program insights.
  • Ability to multi-task, remain flexible, and maintain quality in an evolving environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in network/software configuration management
  • Understanding of common cybersecurity and SCRM regulations (i.e., NIST, CIS, NERC CIP, etc.)
  • Experience in heavily regulated environments such as energy, healthcare, or financial services.
  • Ability to design, implement, and guide effective prompting strategies or AI-enabled processes to improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making across teams or functions.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Engineering discipline; technical or professional experience may be substituted for formal education if necessary)
