Job Description

As a contract Salesforce Administrator at Scaled Agile, you will be a key member of a high-performing, Agile engineering team responsible for managing and enhancing our established Salesforce ecosystem. This includes the customer-facing SAFe Community built on Salesforce Experience Cloud, as well as Sales Cloud. Your responsibilities will focus on user management, configuration and automation, data integrity, security, and day-to-day support for our internal users. Strong technical expertise in Salesforce administration and a proactive approach to optimizing business processes are essential.

What you'll be doing:

  • Configure and manage core Salesforce functionality (custom objects, advanced flows, validation rules), to align with business requirements.

  • Maintain and improve business process best practices within a robust Salesforce environment.

  • Apply sound data governance principles to ensure high data quality and implement scalable information architectures.

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support business processes and decision-making.

  • Maintain security by managing user access, monitoring login and activity logs, deactivating users as needed, and auditing field/profile access and permissions.

  • Perform data cleanup and manipulation using Data Loader or third-party applications.

  • Ship changes through a deployment pipeline, rather than configuring production directly.

  • Provide timely support for Salesforce-related inquiries and troubleshoot issues to maintain high user satisfaction, providing first-line support through to completion.

  • Use AI assistants to accelerate day-to-day admin work, such as impact analysis and investigating issues.

  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce configurations, system capabilities, and release updates, assessing their impact on business operations.

  • Support onboarding activities for new and existing employees, ensuring proper Salesforce training and adoption.

  • Evaluate and drive the adoption of new technologies, processes, and procedures that enhance Salesforce efficiency.

  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and training purposes.

  • Assist with special assignments and strategic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of Salesforce experience, including configuration and support of Sales Cloud and Salesforce Experience Cloud.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce administration, including user management, security settings, and data management.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Flow.

  • Expertise in Salesforce reports and dashboards for data-driven decision-making.

  • Hands-on experience using AI assistants in technical work.

  • Experience training and onboarding new Salesforce users.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders to implement new features via configuration, development, or technology evaluations.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills.

  • Understanding of Agile principles and practices, with a strong desire to work in a fully Agile team.

Our hourly range for an independent contractor is $50 - $58 per hour.
