Job Description
Meet the team:
  • We're a multi-disciplinary team of user experience, visual, instructional, and industrial designers.
  • We work closely with design operations, user researchers, and design technology engineers.
  • We create products that have a true impact on the lives of millions of people around the globe.
  • We're passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity.
  • We build delightful and accessible products that display data and insights across multiple platforms.
  • We follow the principles of user-centric design thinking to make data meaningful and actionable for our users.
  • With this role, you'll be part of the team focused on prescription-based continuous glucose monitoring products for people living with diabetes.
  • You'll design clinically grounded experiences that help patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers understand glucose data, support diabetes management decisions, and reduce friction across onboarding, daily use, follow-up care, and therapy adjustments.
  • You'll work with a variety of stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, User Research, and Human Factors from design concept to approvals and delivery.

Where you come in:
  • You'll design experiences for prescription-based CGM products that support people living with diabetes and the healthcare professionals who care for them.
  • You'll develop an understanding of diabetes management, glucose patterns, alerts, treatment decision support, clinical workflows, and the evolving diabetes technology landscape.
  • You'll represent and advocate for patients with diabetes, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
  • You'll work with key cross-functional stakeholders to understand clinical and business priorities, define problem statements, requirements, and user needs.
  • You'll lead workshops, contribute to strategy discussions, capture design requirements, and clarify feasibility considerations.
  • Your designs will evolve from early-stage concepts and low-resolution wireframes to high-resolution screens, technical flows, and regulated product documentation.
  • You'll translate continuous glucose data, trends, alerts, and system states into meaningful, actionable experiences.
  • You'll understand technical inputs from client and partner systems and communicate complex clinical information clearly, safely, and appropriately for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
  • You'll help plan and support research, usability testing, and Human Factors activities for clinical CGM experiences.
  • You'll synthesize research and testing findings to inform designs, identify patient and provider needs, support risk mitigation, and define next steps.
  • You'll lead presentations to cross functional teams and management.
  • Communicate the problem, the opportunity, and the design recommendations.
  • Be a design diplomat.
  • Be welcoming of feedback and navigate respectful disagreement.
  • Seek to inform and influence the audience. Be willing to compromise to find a mutually agreeable solution.
  • You'll work with Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Quality, Legal, and Human Factors teams to ensure designs align with prescription product requirements, intended use, labeling considerations, clinical risk controls, and approval needs.
  • You'll iterate on design mitigations and gain approvals for proposed solutions.
  • You'll help foster a culture of support, continuous improvement, and design excellence within the team and all those who partner with us.
  • Be positive and solutions oriented.
  • Build up our teams, departments, and company through words and actions.
  • Learn from existing members of the team and mentor your colleagues.

What makes you successful:
  • Prior experience as a UX or Sr. UX Designer delivering complex digital health, medical device, or clinical software products.
  • 4+ years of UX or product design experience, with demonstrated strength designing patient- and provider-facing experiences in healthcare, diabetes care, or other regulated product environments.
  • You must have a portfolio that demonstrates strong end-to-end UX design process, including clinical problem framing, workflow mapping, data visualization, interaction design, usability testing, and design rationale. Include your online portfolio link or PDF in your application, including any required passwords.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or another related field.
  • You must have experience designing mobile app experiences and familiarity with iOS, Android, accessibility, and platform design patterns.
  • Experience designing companion experiences for sensors, wearables, connected devices, or data-rich health products is strongly preferred.
  • You must be proficient with modern design, prototyping, and collaboration tools including Figma.
  • Familiarity with design systems and AI-enabled design workflows is a plus.
  • Experience with regulated medical device software, prescription digital health products, Human Factors/usability engineering, WCAG accessibility guidelines, and healthcare data visualization is strongly preferred.
  • You must be able to work in a highly collaborative, regulated, fast-paced environment with Product, Engineering, Research, Human Factors, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, and Legal partners.
  • You must be able to manage schedules, prioritize work, communicate tradeoffs, and meet deadlines.
