Remote Vision Radiology primarily involves interpreting medical images like X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, requiring radiology credentials. Both roles are performed remotely, often through telemedicine platforms, but serve different medical specialties. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote vision radiologist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Vision Radiologist, you need a medical degree, board certification in radiology, and expertise in interpreting diagnostic images. Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems), teleradiology platforms, and secure data transmission protocols is crucial. Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and strong written communication skills help you deliver accurate and timely reports remotely. These competencies ensure precise diagnoses, effective collaboration with healthcare teams, and high standards of patient care in a virtual environment.

What is remote vision radiology?

Remote vision radiology is a subspecialty of radiology where medical imaging studies, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, are interpreted by radiologists who work remotely using secure digital platforms. This approach allows radiologists to review images from anywhere, providing timely diagnostic reports to healthcare providers and patients. Remote radiology, often called teleradiology, improves access to expert opinions, especially in underserved or rural areas. It also enables hospitals to offer 24/7 radiology services without requiring an on-site radiologist at all times.

What are some common challenges faced by radiologists working in remote vision radiology, and how can they be addressed?

Radiologists in remote vision radiology often encounter challenges such as limited direct interaction with referring physicians and potential delays in obtaining additional clinical information. Additionally, working remotely may require adapting to different PACS systems and strict data security protocols. These challenges can be addressed by establishing clear communication channels with clinical teams, participating in regular virtual meetings, and staying updated on best practices in teleradiology technology and cybersecurity. Building a robust home workstation setup and maintaining a structured daily routine can also help ensure efficiency and work-life balance.

Job description

Our Team
Dandelion Health was founded in 2020 by experts in health tech, hospital systems, academia, and clinical AI. We are building the world's largest AI training and clinical development platform. Today, we pride ourselves on our ability to make data access as easy as possible for AI developers, pharma, and medical devices, while raising the bar for patient safety and data quality. Tomorrow, we will be the place where any healthcare organization can go to build a responsible clinical AI product. Our culture is all about learning from data and improving, so we can help our clients improve health through AI. Meet the rest of our team here.
Our Data
We partner with health systems to safely and ethically make their de-identified patient data available to AI developers. Currently, the data is acquired from Sharp HealthCare, Sanford Health, and Texas Health Resources - with two additional U.S. health systems joining soon.
We have clinical data dating back to July 1, 2016. This data represents over 10 million patients and includes but is not limited to:
  • Structured data (e.g., 100% of the EMR, including some claims)
  • Unstructured text (e.g., clinical notes, radiology reports)
  • Images (e.g., DICOM, pathology)
  • Video
  • Waveforms
  • Continuous streaming monitoring data
Your Role
This is Dandelion's first dedicated marketing hire. Our space is scientifically dense, deeply valuable, and genuinely difficult to communicate. You'll be building the marketing engine from the ground up - owning our content strategy, product launches, field presence, and thought leadership output. You'll work directly with Elliott, our CEO, to translate his vision and Dandelion's mission into stories that resonate with pharma, biotech, and life sciences audiences.
This is a broad generalist role. Brand identity and website are handled by an external partner. Your job is everything else: coordinating the marketing calendar, running the content operation, managing events and conference presence, and supporting product launches as our use-case portfolio expands.
If you are a sharp strategic marketer who loves complex problems, is genuinely curious about healthcare AI, and knows how to operate with leverage using modern tools - this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
Product Marketing
  • Develop and own Dandelion's messaging framework - translating a complex multimodal data platform into compelling narratives for life sciences, pharma, and health system audiences
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new product and use-case launches in partnership with product and commercial teams
  • Create and maintain sales collateral, one-pagers, case studies, and demo materials

Content & Thought Leadership
  • Build and manage a content calendar spanning LinkedIn posts, blog articles, scientific communications, and newsletter content
  • Collaborate closely with Elliott to develop and amplify his thought leadership voice across channels
  • Commission and edit content that speaks to both business buyers and scientific/clinical audiences

Field Marketing & Events
  • Own Dandelion's presence at industry conferences, clinical AI events, and life sciences summits - from selection through logistics and follow-up
  • Coordinate PR opportunities, media pitches, and speaker application submissions
  • Track the industry calendar and proactively identify high-leverage event opportunities

Marketing Operations
  • Manage the marketing calendar, coordinate inputs across the organization, and ensure consistent execution
  • Leverage AI tools to amplify output - content generation, event discovery, competitive monitoring, and reporting
  • Work with the external brand agency to ensure consistency across all produced materials

About You
  • 5-8 years of marketing experience with an emphasis on product marketing
  • Experience at a B2B startup or scale-up, ideally in life sciences, digital health, healthcare IT, or data platforms
  • Proven ability to build narratives for complex, technical products - and translate them for non-technical buyers
  • Excellent writer with the ability to adapt voice and style for scientific, business, and general audiences
  • AI-native: you use AI tools as a core part of your workflow, not an experiment
  • Comfortable operating as a team of one while coordinating inputs from across an organization
  • Familiarity with life sciences, pharma, or healthcare - you don't need a PhD, but you shouldn't need us to explain what a clinical trial is
  • Strong organizational skills and a bias for structured systems - you can own a marketing calendar without losing threads

Team Benefits
  • Remote work and flexible hours. Availability needed for meetings, which we try to keep to a healthy minimum
  • Complete wellness benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, PTO, sick days and more. Ask for details
  • Professional development days to build your skills
  • Collegial work environment
  • Academic bent towards inquiry and problem solving but start-up speed and flexibility
  • Great balance of focus time to work on projects but easy to access team members to discuss issues and work collaboratively
  • Dandelion is a mission-driven company that is focused on improving patient care
