• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, duration, and impact of mood disorders on clients' lives, utilizing clinical interviews and standardized assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring evidence-based practices.
• Utilize therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to foster client progress and resilience.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor and document client progress, using data to make timely adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.
• Stay updated on the latest research in mood disorder treatment approaches to refine practice methods and improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential therapeutic records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including attending training sessions and workshops to enhance therapeutic skills.
• Advocate for clients from marginalized communities, focusing on reducing mental health stigma and ensuring accessibility to necessary resources.

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse clientele may include populations facing additional challenges, including homelessness, refugee status, or histories of domestic abuse. Your work will play a critical role in guiding these clients toward recovery and emotional stability.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to build a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude, allowing clients to feel respected and understood during their therapeutic journey.

• Annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
