Shift Details: Hours include 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
Please note, this position is not remote and requires on-site work environment.
Job Summary:
The Staff RN VCT assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for an identified group of patients. The individual must demonstrate competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The job description incorporates the essential functions of the job description, adapted from the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Statement for Supporting High Acuity, Progressive, and Critical Care Patients.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Five years of critical care, or equivalent area of practice experience, is required. Over five years of critical care, or equivalent area of practice experience, is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practice at a level generally acquired through completing a minimum of two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment.Including a fundamental understanding of hemodynamics and sepsis and their related interventional treatments. Knowledge of bedside devices includes, but is not limited to, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy, 12-lead EKG interpretation, NIH Stroke Scale, ventricular assist devices, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Requires current, unrestricted, state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required upon hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 90 days of hire. CCRN, CCRN-E, CSC, CMC, CNRN, CEN, TNCC, TNS is preferred.
