The Virtual Account Representative will manage a sales territory of existing accounts within the Food Manufacturing space, responsible for achieving their assigned sales quota through new business acquisition and maintaining existing spend.

This is a growth-focused sales position, not a customer service or support role, and requires a self-motivated, results-driven individual capable of independent decision making and strategic territory management.

This is a fully remote, home-based position available in some US states (see below). All work is conducted from home, with no regular travel required.

 

What youll do:

  • Engage with customers through regular sales calls via phone/email/video conference to learn about their business goals, ingredient needs, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure existing business re-orders are secured through regular monitoring of buying patterns and effective territory management.
  • Manage a robust new product opportunity pipeline while regularly updating progress in Salesforce.com
  • Uncover competitive pricing intel, buying drivers, and customer pain points to negotiate for and win new business.
  • Stay updated on market and product line offerings to provide value and insight to customer base.
  • Identify customer potential and appropriately align with service level and sales channel.

 

What youll need:

  • 1+ year of sales experience in a B2B environment & HS Diploma/GED.
  • Food or Nutra chemical ingredient experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers as well as internal teammates.
  • Well-honed listening and problem-solving skills to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections in order provide the services and/or products that best fit the customer's needs.
  • Attention to detail and excellent digital literacy including Microsoft Suite as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com

Pay & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is USD 57,920 - 72,410 . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be motivated by a variety of factors including the candidate's proven experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.  Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental.  We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.

Total compensation include a sales bonus that provides you an opportunity to earn a quarterly incentive based on individual contribution and annual uncapped commission potential.
