Job Responsibilities About Our Agency: South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media

SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings. Job Purpose: The Digital Content Editor is responsible for producing timely, accurate, and engaging news content for the South Carolina Public Radio website and associated digital platforms. This role supports daily newsroom operations and contributes to multi-platform storytelling across radio, television, digital, and social channels.

The editor plays a key role in both routine coverage and breaking news, helping ensure consistent, high-quality journalism that reflects the people, places, and events of South Carolina. Job Responsibilities: Produce original news content daily for the South Carolina Public Radio website, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance. Write and produce the SCETV and SC Public Radio daily News Brief.

Actively contribute to morning editorial meetings. Collaborate with newsroom staff on daily assignments and long-term projects. Contribute to breaking and developing news coverage, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Other duties as assigned Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and experience or additional education in production of radio or television programs Preferred Qualifications Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a focus on journalism best practices and AP style. Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment and meet daily deadlines. Experience producing content for digital platforms and understanding of multi-platform distribution.

Strong news judgment and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and contribute to editorial discussions. Flexibility to support breaking news coverage outside of regular business hours when necessary.
