Remote Telemedicine Veterinarian – Florida

Independent Contractor (1099) | $30 per completed consultation

whiskerDocs is a 24/7 Pet Help Line providing phone, chat, video, and email support to pet parents across the country through education, clinical guidance, and decision support. Our goal is to help pet parents make more informed, timely, and appropriate decisions regarding the care of their beloved furry family members and provide prescription medication and therapies to support in their healthcare.

The first service of its kind in the United States, whiskerDocs was launched by the same experienced team that created a national 24-hour Nurse Line serving more than 7 million participants across three countries. Today, whiskerDocs supports more than 6 million pets throughout the United States and Canada.

We are currently seeking veterinarians licensed in Florida to provide remote veterinary consultations as independent contractors. Enjoy the convenience of receiving full intake notes prior to your consultation, which will likely take no longer than 15 minutes of your time!

Our Telemedicine Veterinarians Will

· Conduct virtual veterinary consultations with pet parents located in Florida

· Communicate with clients by video to evaluate a pet’s reported symptoms and available history

· Provide clinical guidance, prescriptions, education, and recommendations within the scope of Florida law

· Help pet parents determine the most appropriate next steps for their pet’s care

· Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records of each consultation

· Deliver a compassionate, professional, and reassuring client experience

· Maintain up to date availability and integrate calendar for appointment scheduling with 3rd party scheduling platform

· Closely monitor email communications for company information, policy and protocol updates, and appointments/calendar invites.

Job Requirements

· Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent veterinary degree

· Current, active, and unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in Florida

· Experience working in a small-animal practice with cats and dogs

· Strong clinical judgment and the ability to provide clear guidance in a remote setting

· Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills

· Access to a computer or tablet with reliable high-speed internet and a high-quality webcam

· Ability to learn and effectively use whiskerDocs documentation systems

· A quiet, professional home-office environment suitable for video consultations

· Willingness to continue learning and remain current on applicable veterinary telehealth laws and standards

· A flexible schedule and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team
