Job description

Bristol Infrastructure Design Services, LLC is hiring a Business Analyst to support NAVFAC Hampton Roads, VA.

i. Performance Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  2. Business Analysis Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), optimizing business processes, creating project status visualizations, and producing data collection, display, and consumption solutions. Experience coordinating software requirements, test plans, and QA/QC plans with software developers is required.
  3. Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  4. Project Management: Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.

ii. Knowledge and Skills Required

  1. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in creating requirements for Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform solutions. Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Power Platform, with the ability to learn new applications quickly.
  2. Data Management: Demonstrated experience with data management, configuration management, and related processes.
  3. Data Visualization: Proven experience developing data visualizations.
  4. VBA and Excel: Demonstrated experience with VBA, advanced Excel formulas, and complex data manipulation.
  5. Forecasting and Budgeting: Knowledge of work program forecasting and budgeting principles.
  6. Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate issues, requirements, and process improvements to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Project Management Capabilities: Ability to manage timelines, resources, and collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and software developers in a decentralized or virtual environment. iii. Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Collaboration and Coordination: Partner with SMEs and stakeholders to evaluate, design, develop, deploy, and maintain a wide range of solutions for acquiring, processing, analyzing, and displaying information through Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform. Products may include websites, dashboards, visualizations, workflows, applications, graphs, charts, and diagrams.
  2. Technical Evaluation and Analysis: Review existing data sets, platforms, and visualizations to recommend improvements that enhance usability, automation, and effectiveness. Support process and system improvement initiatives, as well as new tool and system deployments.
  3. Requirements Development: Support requirements gathering, data collection, organization of unstructured data, and management of corporate information across business units. Coordinate ongoing maintenance of this information.
  4. Continuous Process Improvement: Evaluate existing workflows and tools for improvement opportunities. Track inputs and action items from tools, systems, and working group meetings. Analyze feedback, lessons learned, and other sources to identify strengths, weaknesses, and performance gaps.
  5. Reports and Dashboards: Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that capture KPIs, labor and budget estimates, forecasts, production metrics, and other key program information. Create reporting structures utilizing Microsoft Excel, Power Platform, and other platforms as needed.
  6. Instructional Guidance: Develop user documentation and instructional materials; provide training sessions and respond to user support requests.
  7. Community Support: Provide technical support to stakeholders and end users as directed.
  8. Strategic Communications: Demonstrate strong command of written and verbal English, with the ability to clearly communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  9. Data Collection and Analysis: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, structured and unstructured, and collaborate with team members to generate requirements, develop workflows, and scope solutions for displaying outputs through various formats (websites, dashboards, applications, charts, graphs, diagrams, etc.).
  10. Administrative Tasks: Support data calls, workshops, training events, meetings, and system account management activities.
  11. Project Management and Coordination: Manage timelines, resources, and collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and software developers in a highly decentralized or virtual environment.
