Job description

Position Overview
Power your future with Qualus in our Engineering department as a Transmission Line Engineer designing transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.
This position will be based in Moncks Corner, SC with the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity.
Responsibilities
  • Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications and drawings.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and simulations for transmission line design.
  • Provide support to the project team during construction and installation.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Perform field work as required to support design, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Interface directly with client team and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as required

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering. Civil, Mechanical or Electrical are preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will possess 3-5 years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage applications.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, and IEEE.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
