• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments through telehealth platforms to ascertain clients' mental health needs and concerns.
• Design and implement tailored, evidence-based treatment plans that align with each client’s unique goals and therapeutic requirements.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions using proven therapeutic techniques, adapting approaches to suit varying client challenges.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated and coordinated care, attending regular case conferences and team meetings.
• Keep detailed and confidential records of client sessions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in continual professional development through supervision and training opportunities, refining therapeutic skills and expanding knowledge in mental health care.

As a counselor at Child & Family Care Services, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults dealing with various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders. Our holistic and inclusive approach means you’ll collaborate closely with clients to address their specific scenarios, employing strategies responsive to their individual narratives and experiences.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts is essential.
• A Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited academic institution.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting both individual and group therapy sessions, with a focus on mental health treatment.
• Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to mental health care.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills are necessary for effectively building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to ethical practices and the ability to maintain client confidentiality is paramount.

• Experience working with telehealth systems and virtual counseling methodologies is highly desirable.
• A background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care to support diverse patient needs is an asset.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available to clients in the Lowell area will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
