Experience Level: 5–8+ Years

Industry: B2B Enterprise / Private Equity

 Overview & What We Do

Apex Leaders custom-recruits industry experts for our private equity firm clients. Through a bespoke process, we research, vet, and connect our clients with the most relevant, skilled advisors so they can navigate investment opportunities quickly and confidently.

We are evolving from a premium expert network into an indispensable Intelligence Partner for private equity. Our flagship product initiative is an AI-powered intelligence platform built to solve the private equity industry's bandwidth and data fragmentation crisis. We are looking for a sharp, outcome-driven Senior Product Manager to own and execute the next evolution of this product vision.

Our Culture

At Apex Leaders, you are surrounded by collaborative, tenacious teammates who push each other to overcome obstacles, test the status quo, and achieve success every single day. We hire people who work hard and challenge themselves while having fun along the way.

Our team is dedicated to creating an environment where employees can grow and thrive, embodying our core values: Team Player - Always, Give a Damn, and Find a Way.

Key Outcomes (First 6–12 Months)
  • Deliver the AI Roadmap: Successfully execute the initial phases of Apex's product strategy, launching AI-assisted workstreams that directly power and elevate our core service lines.
  • Drive Product Adoption & Trust: Refine core platform capabilities—focusing on automated document synthesis, data verifiability, and secure enterprise storage—to drive pilot client engagement and build user confidence.
  • Define H2 2027 Vision: Lead deep user discovery and technical scoping to establish requirements for our next generation of platform capabilities slated for development in mid-2027.
What You Will Do
  • Guide Non-Technical Agent Owners: Interface directly with internal business leads ("agent owners") to help them articulate operational pain points, refine business logic, and scope AI agent functionality prior to technical hand-off.
  • Translate Requirements to Specs: Turn abstract business needs and manual workflows into clear, developer-ready requirements, user stories, and actionable technical specifications.
  • Own the Product Lifecycle: Maintain a prioritized backlog and lead sprint planning for internal engineering teams and external development partners.
  • Design for High-Stakes Users: Build intuitive B2B software tailored to Private Equity decision-makers where data privacy, source attribution, and "human-in-the-loop" UI are essential.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Partner closely with executive leadership, UI/UX designers, and dev vendors to maintain a predictable, high-velocity release cadence.
What You Will Bring
  • 5–8+ years of B2B SaaS Product Management experience, ideally with exposure to Financial Services, Private Equity, M&A, or complex enterprise workflow tools.
  • Translator Mindset: Proven track record of bridging the gap between non-technical business stakeholders and engineering teams—helping internal business leads refine raw ideas into structured product requirements.
  • Hands-On AI/LLM Experience: Demonstrated experience shipping AI-integrated products, with an understanding of how to weave AI into practical workflows while solving for trust, hallucinations, and source attribution.
  • User-Centric Discovery Skills: Ability to interview high-value users, extract core pain points, and validate prototypes before writing code.
  • Strong Technical Execution: Comfortable navigating database architecture, API integrations, and managing third-party dev vendors alongside internal teams.
  • Self-Starter Mindset: Thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with high autonomy.
The Perks & Benefits
