Clinical Registered Dietitian (Remote)Support Exceptional Resident Care Across Multiple Skilled Nursing Centers

White Oak is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide remote clinical nutrition services for our long-term care and rehabilitation centers. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a meaningful impact on the nutritional health and well-being of residents across multiple facilities within our region (NC/SC).

Position Summary

As aย Clinical Registered Dietitian, you will assess, develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, facility policies, and clinical best practices. This role provides regional coverage for open assignments and supports multiple facilities as needed under the direction of the Regional Registered Dietitian.

This is primarily a remote position; however, occasional travel to assigned facilities may be required for resident care, regulatory support, or operational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Complete initial, quarterly, annual, and significant change nutrition assessments
  • Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
  • Document according to CMS, state, and facility guidelines
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, speech therapy, dietary managers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in care plan meetings, wound and weight meetings, Medicare meetings, utilization review, and other clinical committees as needed
  • Monitor residents' nutritional status and recommend interventions
  • Perform quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) audits
  • Assist facilities in maintaining survey readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Support budget-conscious nutritional care practices
  • Stay current on evidence-based nutrition practices and regulatory changes
  • Attend required in-services and maintain continuing education requirements
  • Provide regional coverage and support multiple facilities as assigned
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) in NC and SC.ย 
  • One-year previous remote work required.
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare nutrition preferred
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and nutrition documentation
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Proficient computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to effectively support multiple facilities remotely
